And a Happy New Design

1 January 2008 | Magic Decks | 3 Comments

As you probably have noticed, we just recently “embigged” the layout of the site and renamed it to DeckCheck.net.

Hope you like it!!

(Now all I have to do is squash some bugs; if you found some, please report in the comments - thx!!)

Planeswalker Proof

21 October 2007 | Magic Decks | No Comments

Well, Lorwyn becoming legal just a few minutes ago, we finishes updating our scripts and databases to welcome the Planeswalkers.

Deck-Posting was a bit low lately but with the only interesting events going on being the Prereleases, we hope everybody was to busy ripping sealed pools.

If you happen to have some interesting Top8s sporting Lorwyn, just give a huge hint.

10th is upon us

23 July 2007 | Magic Decks | No Comments

Well, 10th Edition got legal really soon, but no matter what, we already have it in our system and some new & shine Standard-Decks ready to kick some butt at the next FNM.

In case you have some decklists (it’s Nationals and PTQ time, so there should be plenty) don’t hesitate to submit them.

Browsercheck needed

29 June 2007 | Magic Decks | 1 Comment

Well, we spiced up the Visual Deck view and the Sample Hand, but there could be some minor issues with older browsers.

We checked it with Firefox (working like a charm), the Internet Explorer 6.x works as expected by not working as wanted and Opera chokes too.

We are working on it, but would need more information (what about IE 7.x; Mac or Linux Browsers) and if possible even some help with the CSS-magic. Thx!!

Discovered Paradise

Just two quick links I stumbled upon today while collecting decks.

First one is a collection of regionals deck comparisons (Zoo, Gruul, Dredge, Dragonstorm and Project X) similar to the same thing located in the Deck Check. You can even download those in Excel to do whatever you want to do with it.

Second one is LackeyCCG. It’s software you can play Magic (and multiple other CCGs) online or in solitaire mode. I haven’t tested it yet, but its available for Windows and Mac, which should make some Mac users smile.

Have a nice start for the week and stop crashing my server ;-)

Tickets to Nationals

29 May 2007 | Magic Decks | No Comments

It’s time to qualify some asses to those Nationals. Having Qualifiers all around the World means a lot of decks at a lot of places. You can help us to gather them all at one place. This place!!

You can either show us the places where we get those Top8-lists or enter them by yourself.

Thanks in advance!!

No Comments!! (any more)

28 April 2007 | Magic Decks | 5 Comments

Because of the decreasing quality of posted comments, we just removed the feature. Now we can concentrate more on stuff that’s really important (like fresh decks) and don’t waste brain-juice on random people bragging or dissing around.

Unspam thy Decks

13 April 2007 | Magic Decks | No Comments

Added a little feature today to mark comments as spam.

Of course only comments that are spam or offensive should be marked as spam. We will get rid of them as soon as possible.

Thank you all for your help in this!!

PTQ Yokohoma Decklists wanted

12 January 2007 | Magic Decks | 5 Comments

So the Extended PTQ Season for the PT Yokohama officialy kicked off. Wizards is starting to post Top8-Decks from various US-Events, but we want more.

During the next weeks we will post various Top8s from all over the world almost exclusively and you can help us. Go to your PTQ-Organizer and tell him to ship us the decks, or if you find lists in the web, go ahead and give us a hint.

Thank you!!

Search Redevelopment

9 December 2006 | Magic Decks | No Comments

I somehow fixed the advanced search again, because it is now possible to search for deck by more than one card in either maindeck or sideboard. This once woirked, than not, and not it does again. Let’s see for how long…

On a somehow related topic, I quickly mashed together two OpenSearch plugins for Mozilla Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7. You can use it like the Google-Search in the upper right corner of the browser to search the Deck Check for either a card, a player, or a deckname. To install it, just head over to the Deck Check Quicksearch and click on the link under the heading. As a bonus, there is a hidden search plugin for MagicCards.info as well somewhere in the site, but I won’t tell you where ;-)

If you find anything broken in the DC, just tell me!!
